I was trained in accounting right here in the Riverina with a focus on farming and agricultural business, and incorporated Agribusiness into my degree. Being a farmer myself, I feel well placed to work with my farming clients and this has become my speciality at Baldry & Carr.
I was born into a farming family and have spent my life living and breathing Simmental-Fleckvieh cattle. My grandparents and parents are stud owners, and now my own family and I own and manage our own small Simmental-Fleckvieh stud.
When I’m not at work or on the farm, I consider myself quite the soccer star (not to mention the best junior soccer coach the Junee Jaguars have) and water ski legend. Definitely the best out of all my brothers.
I completed my degree while living and working for a large Chartered practice in Bowral, NSW. The country location, close to Sydney, meant the client base was extremely varied. I worked with everything from sole traders to complex, high net-worth multi-entity enterprises. My passions are start-ups and of course - women in business!
Since relocating to Junee, I have found my client base equally as diverse - and have been able to work in an area of particular interest - the not-for-profit and charity sector.
I am a registered SMSF auditor, and (don’t judge me) actually quite enjoy this aspect of my business.
I also bake sourdough bread, play banjo, and regularly kill indoor plants.
I have a passion for regional and rural Australia and enjoy working with farming clients and regional businesses. I completed my degree at Charles Sturt University through the Wagga Campus whilst working from Cootamundra and Wagga. I have since gone on to further my studies to become a CPA.
The aspects of my career that I find most rewarding are assisting clients with their bookkeeping, tax and accounting needs as well as encouraging business growth and improvement. I have had experience in farming, small business and not-for-profit enterprises. I bring a practical and down-to-earth approach to my work.
When I am not at work I am running around after my young children, keeping active and enjoying life in regional NSW.
